Driver install times vary by operating system and computer hardware. On machine with lower system memory, older processors, and slower hard drives it can take up to 15 – 20 minutes to install all the drivers needed. Once the drivers are installed the StrikeMax software will function without issue. We appreciate everyone’s patience when installing the first time.
No, you should always update the controller by having it directly attached to the console. Simply detach the short cable of the Strike Pack device and attach your controller’s charge port directly to your console via USB cable before proceeding with a Microsoft Controller Update.
This usually occurs after system updates or firmware updates. Simply unplug the cable from the console to the Strike Pack and plug it back it. The controller will now turn on and function as expected.
This is a common misconception. In fact the Primary fire you have set up in MOD mode is still working, just out of sync. In FPS MOD Mode the Strike Pack senses the press of the Triangle Button to determine weapon swapping from your Primary or Secondary weapon. This allows separate MODS on Primary and Secondary weapons for the highest level of customization. If this goes out of sync due to the character dying or the game session ending while using a Secondary weapon, simply PRESS RIGHT D-PAD and TAP Triangle – this will re-sync and your correct Primary fire mode will return instantly.
To resolve this issue, please update to the latest firmware using the free Strike Max software available HERE. You will require a Windows PC to do this
The Xbox One console features Game DVR modes and Internet Edge modes amongst other channels that can be snapped to the same screen as the game. Using this SNAP feature will actually introduce lag and throw off the timing of the advanced combos being used in the Jitter Fire MODS. You will need to restart the game to reset this. To avoid this issue with Jitter Fire do not use any SNAP elements while playing the game.
The StrikeMax software is written to be used exclusively with the Original Xbox One StrikePack only. It will not work with the XB1 Strike Pack series of products. If you have in fact an Original StrikePack unit identified on the box by CM00030 and it is not detecting please contact support@collectiveminds.ca
Disconnect the Strike Pack from your XB1 controller.
1. Plug the controller in via USB.
2. Hold down the controller’s Xbox and menu buttons for 5-10 seconds.
Controller should turn on.
3. Run the update again.
This usually occurs after system updates or firmware updates. Simply unplug the cable from the console to the FPS Dominator and plug it back it. The controller will now turn on and function as expected.

As of update 1.23 to Black Ops III, Activision has effectively disabled the Jitter exploit we use in the Strike Pack FPS Dominator. Our Team is working hard to find an alternative exploit to bring Jitter back to life. This exploit has long remained in the COD series, but there are no guarantees a Jitter Mod with the same effectiveness can be achieved.

Controller should turn on.
3. Run the update again.
A1: With the Xbox One console on, remove the Media Hub w/drive and then reattach it to the console. Wait to see if the drive is now detected (within 10 seconds your drive name should come up or the format procedure if it is a new drive). If nothing happens, remove and reattach it again. This may take up to 3 attempts. Once detected, there is no need to detach the Media Hub again. All operations will function normally and there should be no need to do this again.
A2: If Step A1 does not work, go through the process presented at Xbox.com support at the following link: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/system/console-doesnt-detect-external-storage
Alternative Suggestion:
Several users have suggested that clearing the MAC address and clearing the Blu-ray storage on the Xbox console is a quick and successful approach to detecting a new hard drive that has been installed in the media hub.
- To Clear the MAC address: Settings -> Network -> Advanced Settings -> Alternate Mac address -> Clear -> Restart
- To Clear the Blu-ray storage: Settings -> Disc & Blu-Ray -> Persistent Storage -> Clear Persistent Storage
Go to Settings > Manage Storage. Your hard drive in the Media Hub should be listed next to your internal hard drive, showing a music note icon. If you hit the “Menu/3Line” button it appears that you only have the ‘help’ and ‘switch profile’ options. However, after pressing the “Menu/3Line” button again, PRESS the “A” button. The option to “Format for Games & Apps” will appear. Now “Format” the hard drive as per the following prompts and enjoy your Media Hub.
The power port on the Media Hub was put there to future proof the product. Currently there is no requirement for additional power to install a hard drive in the Media Hub.
Any 2.5” SATA Hard Drive 12mm or less and with a capacity greater than 256 GB. The Hard Drive can be SSD, Hybrid or standard.
Based on our tests across numerous drives from WD, Seagate and HGST, the performance gains are minimal using higher RPM drives. We recommend using a WD Blue 5400 RPM drive as the best price/performance right now.
The Media Hub was designed with 12mm or less drives in mind, but the WD Green drive does in fact work. Of course a WD 12mm or less drive is recommended to fit correctly.
If you have access to a Windows PC, follow the below process to reset the hard drive.
Windows Initialization and Volume Creation for Media Hub Drive Reset
1. When in Windows plug the Media Hub with drive into an open USB port.
2. Once at the desktop open the Start Menu, in the search line, type Disk Management and press Enter.
3. You should get a window popup like this:
4. If so choose MBR and click OK and go to Step #6.
5. If you didn’t get the popup then right click and select initialize the newly added drive under where it says the Disk # shown below. Click Initialize Disk.
6. Now right click the unallocated space and click create a New Simple Volume shown below:
7. Follow the on screen wizard by clicking Next.
8. Specify your volume size, default is fine, and now click Next.
9. Assign a drive letter to the drive and click Next. Default is fine.
10. Format the partition and name the volume, default settings are fine.
11. Now click Finish and you are done the drive reset portion.
12. Attach the Media Hub to your Xbox One console while on and follow the on screen prompts through the format procedure.
If you have access to a MAC, follow the below process to reset the hard drive.
Mac Initialization and Volume Creation for Media Hub Drive Reset
1. First you need to find and open the application Disk Utility. You can find Disk Utility in / Applications/Utilities.
2. Ensure that the hard drive is installed in the Media Hub and attach the supplied cable to the USB port on the hub with the extension end.
3. Plug the standard USB end of the cable into an available USB port on your Mac.
4. You will receive the message that the disk is not readable. This is normal. If you do not see this message skip to F.
5. You will have the option to initialize the disk. Click on “Initialize…”
6. Once initialized Disk Utility will now show Initio INIC-3609 as a selection. In this case the disk volume is shown as 500.11 GB Initio INIC-3609.
7. Select the Initio volume and then click on Erase at the top next to First Aid.
8. Under “Format:” choose MS-DOS (FAT).
9. Now choose “Erase…” and select “Erase” again when asked if you are sure.
10. If asked to use the volume as a Time Machine Backup choose “Don’t Use”.
11. In Disk Utility the volume will now be seen as UNTITLED.
12. Right Click on the Initio volume and choose “Eject Disk”
13. It is now safe to detach the USB cable. Your Media Hub with drive is now ready to be attached to your Xbox One console.

FAQ
YOUR MINDFORCE CONTROLLER WORKS WITH TURTLE BEACH HEADSETS!
Hold [BACK] + [START] + [LOGO] BUTTONS for 3 seconds to detect your Turtle Beach Headset!
We know there are a lot of gamers using 3rd party headsets so we made sure to support as many as we can. The Mindforce x360 controller can be placed in Manual Headset Detection mode by holding down the BACK START AND LOGO buttons at the same time for 3 seconds. Be careful, we use only the best electronics and because of that the volume can be quite loud, so make sure to turn down the chat volume before connecting. Please note that you will need to do this each time the controller is turned on.

- First Fully Compatible GOW3 Active Reload System
- User Customizable Active Reload Timing
- Still Fully Compatible with GOW 1 and 2.
USING ACTIVE RELOAD
Active reload is designed to assist in achieving perfect reloads in the Gears of War© franchise of games. Due to timing anomalies created throughout the game there may be instances where the active reload feature appears to fail. This can occur in Gears of War 1, 2 and 3. Some suggestions to avoid this are as follows:
- Reload fatigue: Generally caused by repeatedly dispensing a small amount of ammunition and quickly reloading. Try to pace your reloads.
- Pre-mature reload: In order to initiate an successful active reload the reload animation needs to be complete. This is especially true on shot gun weapons with a slower reload animations.
- Blast Interruption: If the reload has been initiated and damage is taken to the character in the reload cycle a “jam” will occur. Cover provides the best option for reloading.
GEARS OF WAR 3
In Gears of War© 3 use AR3 for both Shotguns and Lancer weapons. AR2 is not compatible with Gears of War© 3. Mindforce Active Reload System is not compatible with the Hammerburst weapon in Gears of War© 3.
USING VEHICLE WEAPONS
In the Gears of War© Series, there are several weapons that are attached to vehicles that become available for your character to use. When using these weapons it may be required to turn off RAPID FIRE.
ATTENTION GEARS OF WAR 3 PLAYERS
We are proud to announce Active Reload V1.5 included with your Mindforce X360 Controller. Active Reload V1.5 is fully compatible with Gears of War© 1, 2 and 3. The active reload timing can now be individually set and stored in AR5, AR6, AR7 and AR8. This breakthrough technology allows your Mindforce X360 controller access to user programmable active reload timing for all of your favourite multi-shot weapons. If the timing of a weapon ever changes simply program a new timing for that weapon. For Gears of War© 1 and 2 simply refer to the enclosed manual and use AR1, AR2, AR3 and AR4 as specified.
In Gears of War© 3, you may still use AR1 for pistols, AR3 for multi-shot shotguns, and AR4 for sniper rifles.
However for Gears of War© 3 you will need to set AR5, AR6, AR7 and AR8 to the timing of your choice for weapons like the Lancer, the Hammerburst, and the Retro Lancer.
Recommended Gears of War 3 Active Reload Settings (for models CM00025, CM00035, CM00045)
- Lancer – 0.87 (AR 5 Default)
- Hammerburst – 1.28 (AR 6 Default)
- Retro Lancer – 1.51 (AR 7 Default)
- Snub Pistol: 0.61
- Gorgon Pistol: 1.14
- Boltok Pistol: 0.61
- Gnasher Shotgun: 1.02

The Display will FLASH the last known value of the Active Reload Timing. Use the Right Analog Stick to adjust the value of the Active Reload Timing. Move the Right Analog Stick UP to increase the value of the Active Reload Timing. Move the Right Analog Stick DOWN to decrease the value of the Active Reload Timing. Now Press the Active Reload Button again to LOCK in the desired Value.

- The Display will FLASH “0.88”
- Move UP on the Right Analog Stick. The Display will read “0.89”
- Move Down on the Right Analog Stick. The Display will read “0.88”
- Move Down on the Right Analog Stick again. The Display will read “0.87”
- Press the TOP RIGHT SHOULDER BUTTON, and this will test Active Reload. If a perfect reload is not achieved, press UP or DOWN on the Right Analog Stick until the correct value is reached.
- If one Moves and HOLDS the Right Analog Stick UP or DOWN the values will accelerate until the stick is released to the center position.
- Press the Active Reload Button to finish and LOCK in the desired Value.
Active Reload Modes AR1, AR2, AR3, AR4 are fully compatible with Gears of War 1 and 2. Gears of War 3 weapons use different timing. AR2 is not compatible with Gears of War 3. You can instead use AR3 for Lancers and Shotgun weapons.
Active Reload mode 4 AR4 is designed to be used as a “Fire & Reload” system for sniper style weapons. One press of the top right shoulder button will shoot for you and reload the weapon automatically.
Active Reload mode 4 AR4 is a “Fire & Reload” system for sniper style weapons. You do not use the Right Trigger to fire when in this mode. You simply aim your weapon and press the top right shoulder button. This will shoot for you and reload the weapon automatically.
Some vehicle weapons cannot handle Rapid Fire. That’s okay just press the Rapid Fire button to turn it off and then turn it back on when you are out of the vehicle. Don’t worry those vehicle weapons fire pretty fast on their own.
Dropshot is designed for the default button configuration. If you select the default button configuration then Dropshot will perform properly, causing your player to drop to the prone position while firing the weapon in hand.
You are actually in programming mode. The Mindforce x360 controller allows you to program Fire Rate and adjust which Preset you want to store that fire rate in while playing the game!!

Try adjusting your fire rate up or down, every game has a weapon tolerance for Rapid Fire. That means a rate setting of 8.5 in one game on a pistol may be restricted to 6.5 on a pistol in another game.
Just as every game has rapid fire tollerances, every weapon in a game has tollerances to how fast they can be fired. Luckily the Mindforce x360 controller has 12 total presets so you can fine tune all your weapons fire rates – and do so in real time!
Yes, just press the Rapid Fire Button on the left handle. When the light is off, Rapid Fire is off. We want you to be able to enjoy the quality and comfort of the Mindforce x360 controller on every game, not just shooters!
All Mindforce X360 controllers features a super soft surface and rubber grips for maximum gaming comfort and enjoyment.
The Mindforce X360 PRESTIGE EDITION features lighting on the Dropshot button, both Analog Sticks, and on the action buttons A,B,X,Y. All Mindforce X360 controllers have additional lighting on the Logo Button, Rapid Fire button and the Active Reload button, when they are activated.
No, this baby is for console gaming only. Our USB connection is just for wired play and updates.
The Mindforec X360 controller only works for, you guessed it, the Microsoft xbox 360 console.
No, because the Mindforce x360 controller features technology that may actually improve your game over the standard controller experience, we are 100% Unofficial. We are in no way endorsed by Microsoft Corporation, Epic Games, or Activision Publishing Inc.
Yes, it is available at fine retailers now.
Absolutely.
We are all about comfort for marathon gaming sessions. That took presidence in design, so unfortunately the ergonomic shape of the Mindforce X360 controller does not fit the chat pad.
We know one controller can’t meet the needs of everyone so we made three. The standard controller offers our patent pending LED Display, Rapid Fire technology and Active Reload as do all of our controllers. The Warfare Edition adds a Dropshot button up top, and a Quickscope and Barrage Button underneath the controller. The Prestige Edition – well it has it all, and backlighting on the Dropshot button, both Analog Sticks, and on the action buttons A,B,X,Y. We also throw in a 2M USB cable for good measure.
Because the advanced circuitry of the Mindforce controller and the fact we have to operate on a slightly different frequency than Microsoft the battery indicator bars that appear in the guide on the Xbox dashboard are not accurate. Your Mindforce controller will let you know when the batteries are low by cycling the player indicator lights. We have conducted extensive testing and with one bar showing we have had as high as 4 hours of game play before the controller stops operating. You can also plug in a USB cable to continue uninterrupted play. If you are using a Microsoft rechargeable battery pack, you can also recharge that pack with a USB cable attached to the USB port of your Mindforce controller.
PLAYSTATION
This occurs if the FPS Dominator is connected before the controller syncs correctly to the wireless profile. Simply unplug and plug back in the cable to FPS Dominator adapter and it will work correctly for the entire play session. In order to avoid this issue, make sure the controller is connected wirelessly and signed into your profile as normal before plugging in the cable to the FPS Dominator adapter. The adapter can remain on the controller at all times, even when unplugged if you want to operate in the normal wireless mode of the controller.
This is a common misconception. In fact the Primary fire you have set up in MOD mode is still working, just out of sync. The FPS Dominator senses the press of the Triangle Button to determine weapon swapping from your Primary or Secondary weapon.
The StrikeMax software is written to be used exclusively with the Original Xbox One StrikePack only. It will not work with the XB1 Strike Pack series of products. The PS4 can set the headset port to “all audio” or “chat audio”. If the output to headphones is set to “All Audio” and the Chatboost is attached to the Dualshock 4 controller the PS4 sees the audio connector and will transfer audio to the Chatboost as it should. All audio will not only be heard if a headset is connected to the Headset port on the Chatboost. If the user is using the Chatboost without headphones, the user simply changes the headphone output to Chat only. Now game audio will be heard through the TV/Speakers.
To change the Headphone Setting on the PS4
- Hold The PS Button for 3 seconds
- Select [Adjust Devices] > [Output to Headphones]
- Choose [All Audio] or [Chat Audio]
You can adjust settings for output to a headset or other audio device. You can also specify whether the device receives all audio or only chat audio. The default setting is [Chat Audio].
Call of Duty Black Ops 2
Rapid Fire Range 16.6 – 19.9
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 : 13.9
Presets 11/12 Akimbo: 13.9
The Mindforce PS3 controller has a switch at the back that allows it to be physically shut off to maximize battery life, versus traditional controllers that stay in a sleep mode that gradually drains the battery. In order to charge the controller properly you must leave this switch in the on position while charging. Our extensive testing has shown 8-10 hours of playtime on a single charge.
The Mindforce PS3 controller has an on/off switch at the back. If your Mindforce controller has previously been synced with your PS3 console and after charging the controller player indicators flash and it does not automatically reconnect to the PS3 console, then simply move the switch to OFF, and then back ON. Now press the Mindforce logo button and your controller will automatically sync with the PS3.
When rapid fire is enabled the technology is mimicking high speed trigger presses versus a continuous trigger press. When you press in on the right analog stick you interrupt the signal briefly and launch the knife thrust.
Your Mindforce PS3 controller has special features like Dropshot that are based on the default button configuration in the Modern Warfare and Call of Duty series games. In order for the controller’s special function to properly work you need to ensure that the controller is in the same button configuration as the game. To do this simply use the remap function to match the game button configuration to the one controller’s LED display as per the manual.
You are actually in programming mode. The Mindforce PS3 controller allows you to program Fire Rate and adjust which Preset you want to store that fire rate in while playing the game!!
The Mindforce PS3 controller of course works with the Sony Playstation and most 3rd party headsets. Because the controller is Bluetooth you may be experiencing competition from both devices. Simply “forget” your Bluetooth headset on your PS3 and then pair it WHILE your Mindforce PS3 controller is synced. Both devices should now function properly.

NINTENDO
When you first SYNC the Collective Minds WiiMote it may appear to lose sync after a short time. This seems more pronounced when multiple Wiimotes are being SYNCED. Simply turn off your Wii U/Wii with the Wiimote after all the Wiimotes have been SYNCED once. Unplug your Wii U/Wii for 30 seconds. Plug your console back in and turn back on the Wii U/Wii with the Wiimote. All of the Wiimotes will now function properly and sync appropriately.
We have done extensive testing on this issue. We take our product quality and the gameplay experience they provide very seriously. Unfortunately the issue is with the Wii U console itself. This issue applies not just to our Wiimotes but to the official Nintendo WiiMotes as well. For some reason the Wii U console will lose sync to one or multiple wiimotes periodically. Luckily reconnecting is simply a matter of just pressing A or 1 to get back in the game. However, we understand this can be frustrating. Turning off the console, unplugging it for 30 seconds and then powering it back up seems to be the best way to prolong the disconnection time. In our testing it does appear that after a few early de-sync’s the loss of sync seems to be less frequent. Hopefully a console update resolves this soon. Until then we apologize for the inconvenience and hope you enjoy your Collective Minds Wiimote.
ALL CONSOLES
- Make sure the Xbox One controller is OFF when you connect it to the Drive Hub and when you connect the Drive Hub to the Xbox One.
- Update the Xbox One controller with the latest firmware.
- Make sure your micro USB cable is good – most issues are because of a faulty cable.
- Do a 10 second reboot – Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds to reboot it, that clears the cache and some things. This is especially helpful if the Drive Hub inadvertently switches to “Play Mode” because it thinks the wheel is a GamePad.
On a Logitech G27 RT = Gas Pedal and LT=Brake Pedal. It should be the same / similar for other wheels.
Make sure the DS4 is powered off when connecting to the Drive Hub. Power on by the console’s button only NOT the DS4 controller or Wheel.
Update to the latest firmware. You can now use Start + D-Pad Left to switch emulation modes
Update to the latest firmware. You can now use Share + D-Pad Left to switch emulation modes
The G29 must be set to PS4 Mode (in PS3 Mode it emulates a Driving Force GT and that wheel doesn’t have a clutch or shifters.)
The T300 must be set to PS3/PC Mode a.k.a T500 Mode (this emulates a TX)
The T150/T300 emulates as a T500 when in PS3/PC Mode (which it must be in when using with Drive Hub). The T500 has no port for a shifter, so when emulating a T500 your T150/T300 shifter port is disabled. So connect the TH8A to the accessory port of the Drive Hub via a USB cable. The Drive Hub will put the T500 + TH8A together.
The RPM LED’s are not compatible with the Xbox One. The Drive Hub emulates a Fanalogic Mode as there is no native Fanatec support in GT Sport.
You don’t need PS3 Mode for this wheel – simply put it into PC Mode. It is 100% compatible with Drive Hub.
Simply hold D-Pad Left and Start on the wheel for about 4 seconds, the Drive Hub will reboot and flash FFF or LLL.
Drive Hub works perfect with CSW V1, CSW V2, CSW V2.5, CSL E XB1, CSL E PS4 on version 299. We recommend that the CSW be in PC mode to use its advanced features.. It is the CronusMAX that you have to downgrade the wheels firmware to a previous version.
The PS4 and Xbox One controllers are used for security authorization only so none of the buttons will work in game. However, there are shortcuts to the PS4 Home and XB1 Guide buttons on the gear shifter of the Logitech G27. Simply press L3 and R3 at the same time. For a diagram of the button layouts click on the diagrams below.
